What is ASTM A572 Gr65 steel plate:
ASTM A527 is a high-strength low-alloy steel plate that is utilized in a variety of structural applications. It’s strength is higher than the common plates ASTM A36. This specification is produced in Grades 42, 50, 55, 60 & 65, the grades representing the yield strength.
A572 Grade 65 shall be made by one or more of the following processes as open hearth,basic oxygen or electric furnace when rolling and rimming type steels shall not be used. A572Gr65 steel plate owned the minimum yield strength at 450 Mpa and tensile strength shall be above 550 Mpa, having weather ability and atmospheric corrosion resistance.
